My Improvements
|
They
say that a picture is worth a thousand words and that means something
when I describe my health changes. It is hard to believe that they are
both me. No more hypothyroid "moon face". Thank you Armour
Thyroid and Iodine. God has healed my body with the
assistance of great doctors he has placed in my path. I am
eternallygrateful to them for all their help.
If you read Dr. Broda Barnes book called Hypothyroidism: The Unsuspected Illness and also Dr. Mark Starr's book Hypothyroidism Type 2 you will learn about myxedema. The face and eyes are swollen in the condition. Myx is the Greek word for mucin, which accumulates in hypothyroidism. Edema means swelling.
![]() December 2004 February 2008 The picture on the left clearly shows my own case of myxedema while on Synthroid thyroid hormone. Notice how it cleared after treatment with Armour Thyroid (desiccated thyroid hormone). |
![]() This historical picture shows a man suffering from myxedema before being treated with desiccated thyroid hormone. My endocrinologist told me that taking Armour thyroid would cause my cancer to come back and I would risk death. Looks like I am living! I often get asked what I take for supplements and what I eat each day to stay well. What I eat is below. |
