About Me

My name is Stephanie and I
am a papillary thyroid cancer survivor. I was diagnosed 4 mos after the
birth of my first child at the age of 34. My thyroid was slightly
swollen at a my annual check up with my OB/GYN. No further instructions
were given to me other than his comment.
I only wish that I would have known what I know now. That is why I created this website. I wanted to share the information I had to learn the hard way. I have assembled it all here in hopefully an easy to find way. I am the mom of two children. A boy born in November 1999 and a girl born in June 2002. Both of my children are hypothyroid and require daily thyroid medications because of my thyroid deficiencies and cancer during pregnancy. I hold a bachelors degree in Business Administration with an accounting major from Grand Valley State University. I am currently a first year student at Clayton College of Natural Health in the Doctor of Naturopathy program. Here's to better health! Stephanie  |
